For first time, Goan boys to wear India colours for beach volleyballat Asiad

FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° today welcomed the organisers of the Beach Pro Tour Challenge event in Goa to the FIVB Headquarters, with the delegation led by Martin Sudhakar, a beach volleyball promoter owner of the Marina Beach Sports Club.

The FIVB President was joined at the meeting by FIVB General Director Fabio Azco ,volleyball World CEO Finn Taylor and FIVB Head of Beach Volleyball Department Yu Cao, while the  delegation also included Ravikanth Reddy, Co owner of Marina Beach sports club  , Karnae Prabakar and Mohamed Akramkhan.

The discussions focused on Goa hosting Beach Pro Tour Challenge events in 2023 and 2024 as part of a recently announced multi-year agreement to bring the tour to the stunning sands of Varca Beach in Goa. This year’s event, scheduled for 19-22 October 2023 , will mark the tour’s first-ever stop in India.

Following the meeting, the FIVB President said: “We are delighted to welcome our event organisers at the FIVB Headquarters and look forward to the Beach Pro Tour Challenge event in Goa this October. I am sure that the beautiful scenery of Goa will be a perfect backdrop for our sport with top athletes showcasing their best performances in front of the passionate fans.”
